"Use It and Pass It Along"

The Pass It On Center was pleased to participate in an in-depth article on AT Reuse that has been published in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) January-February issue of Quest.

We want to thank the author Alyssa Quintero, for doing such a thoughtful and complete article. We also want to thank Jeremy Buzzell, program specialist for the U.S. Department of Education’s Rehabilitation Services Administration, for agreeing to be interviewed for the article.

Georgia Department of Labor receives two federal grants to aid people with disabilities

ATHENS -- A U. S. Department of Education official has announced that the Georgia Department of Labor/Tools for Life program has received two federal grants totaling almost $2 million over the next five years. These grants will increase access to assistive technology (AT) devices for independent living, learning, and working.

The District of Columbia Disability Equipment Recycling Program

(DC Shares) equipment recycling center is now open. The center located in the Christopher Price Building at 1301 Belmont St. NW, Suite 1D provides new, used and recycled durable medical equipment to District residents.

$600,000 grant boosts assistive technology reuse

The Delaware Assistive Technology Initiative (DATI) at the University of Delaware has received a three-year, $600,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration to improve access to assistive devices by Delawareans with disabilities.
