ATIA Conference  |  Chicago  | October 27-30, 2010

ATIA PRE-CONFERENCE: How to Start or Improve a Reuse Program – Oct. 27, 2010, Chicago
Creating and/or Improving Your AT Reuse Program is a hands-on workshop for individuals who want to begin a reuse program or make significant improvements in an existing program. Using the promising practices identified in the Indicators of Quality for Assistive Technology Reuse (IQ-ATR), instructors share information and experiences relevant to program start-up or improvement. The sessions address key facets of organizational structure, accounting, sustainability, program operations, management, human resources, user services and marketing. An emphasis on the development of policies and procedures is interwoven throughout the program. Participants will identify applicable indicators and determine which of the shared strategies can be adapted for use in their programs.

AT REUSE STRAND - Oct. 28-30, 2010
The Pass It On Center will present a strand of sessions on AT Reuse at ATIA Orlando. The sessions cover a series of program building blocks and strategies and feature speakers who are experts in the field of reuse.
